National Game Fishing Titles

Melanesian Arts Show
Major fund-raising event held every year by the Lionesses Club of Lae. Artists from all over PNG showcase their works including bilums, carvings, Trobriand works and modern pottery. Black Tie Rotary Ball
The club hosts an annual fund-raising Black Tie Ball. The night is a lot of fun and monies raised are used to fund various service projects the Rotary Club of Lae is presently engaged with throughout Lae and Morobe Province. Trukai Fun Run
PNG Olympic Committee’s largest annual fundraising event sponsored by Trukai Industries Ltd. The Trukai Fun Run exists to raise funds for the nations Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, South Pacific Games and the SP Mini Games. It also promotes awareness such as HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria to name a few via messaging on 80,000-95,000 Fun Run shirts. Bringing communities together to join in a fun event which supports and raises awareness of prevalent social issues. |

Annual Charity Golf Day
The Rotary Club of Lae holds it’s Annual Charity Social Golf Day on Independence Day every year. Funds raised on the day go towards selected community projects which encompass a range of beneficial initiatives in the health, education and social welfare spheres. Morobe Show
Morobe Province Agricultural Society conducts the Morobe Show in Lae. The Show is a major tourist attraction and showcases the agriculture, industry, commerce and culture of the Morobe province of Papua New Guinea. It takes place on the weekend closest to the full moon in October each year. Tickets go on sale prior to the event, which is held at the Morobe Show Grounds.
